Voices of Madidi

“Voices of Madidi” is a production network and video library that gives voice to the residents and indigenous populations of the protected park in Bolivia, the Madidi Landscape.

🎥 Main objective: Create a network of local directors, equipped and trained to capture video testimonials and feelings from local communities. We’ve already collected over 100 testimonials covering a wide variety of topics thanks to our passionate contributors!

🌎 Philosophy: Unite local stakeholders around these productions. Our films are accessible to everyone: citizens, local media, and cooperation professionals. But that’s not all! For the first time, we’re introducing an innovative report: the Human Barometer, which analyzes these expressions from a unique perspective.

Imagined by RFI Planète Radio and implemented on-site with the collaboration of SERNAP, the Legacy Landscapes Fund, and WCS, the “Voices of Madidi” network, composed of dedicated contributors, has captured a great diversity of testimonies throughout the Madidi Landscape.

Explore our Spanish and English media library, download the films, and immerse yourself in the voices of Madidi. Together, let’s preserve knowledge and the intangible heritage of humanity! 🌟

RFI Planète Radio

For over 20 years, RFI Planète Radio has developed concepts and projects worldwide to improve the means of expression for populations in remote areas, especially indigenous communities. Developed in close collaboration with local structures and human resources, these innovative methodologies facilitate communication that respects local customs and ensures that these populations are heard by national and international organizations, especially when it comes to reporting on the consequences generated by global changes affecting them (environmental deterioration, climate, social, cultural, etc.).

These inclusive concepts, developed across five continents, enable the expression and consideration of the voices of vulnerable populations and help us better assess the evolution of their quality of life over the years. 🌎
