The Pilon Lajas BR-TCO protected area has the particularity of being a protected area shared with an indigenous territory, which is co-managed by both parties in an equal and equitable manner for the benefit of the protection of the Amazonian forests of the sector, its water sources, the T’simane and Mosetene territory.
