The Central of Indigenous Peoples of La Paz has conducted a study to analyze the mercury levels in the Tacana, Tsimane, and Ese Ejjas populations. They have proposed a popular action to defend the rights of indigenous peoples and compel companies to cease illegal mining operations in the Beni Rive.
