The Pilón Lajas Biosphere Reserve and Communal Land of Origin

The Pilón Lajas BR-TCO was born out of the concern to conserve the water sources that represent the entire sector, which is rich in foothill forests, and to protect the territory of the T’simanes and Moseténes peoples. Clemente, who has been with the territory since its designation until now, comments on the experience after the struggle of the indigenous peoples to protect Pilón Lajas.
