Fishing has been an ancestral livelihood practiced for thousands of years in the Bolivian lowlands. Indigenous peoples such as those who inhabit the banks of the Beni River and communities bordering various streams and lagoons (curichis) in the sector have depended on fishing for their subsistence. Dulffredo, an experienced fisherman from the region, shares his perspective on this practice and the effects that human pressure and climate change have had on fishing in the sector.
